Events at KulturLab Berlin
Our events are not just for entertainment - they are a central part of our mission. All proceeds from our events go directly to funding our diverse projects that aim to empower young people in their personal, creative and social development.
Why is this important?
Our projects such as workshops, festivals and educational offerings require sustainable and diverse funding opportunities in order to be able to operate independently and in the long term. The funds from our events enable us to respond flexibly and purposefully to the needs of young people and to implement projects with social and cultural added value. Every visit to one of our events therefore supports the direct support of children and young people.
Youth Strong Against the Right – An Event Series for Education and Critical Thinking
“Youth against the Right” is our response to the increasing spread of right-wing extremist ideas. This series of events aims to raise funds for projects that promote political education and critical thinking.
At a time when misinformation, hate speech and manipulative content are becoming more prevalent on social media, it is more important than ever to give young people and children the tools to address these challenges.
Our projects under the umbrella of “Youth against the Right” teach young people how to:

Recognize right-wing extremist propaganda and be able to critically engage with it.

Identify and question manipulation in social media.

Take a clear and strong stance for democracy, diversity and respect.
With these events we are sending a clear message against hate and intolerance - and for an open, democratic society. Every contribution to this series of events not only strengthens young people, but also the social foundation of our future.
What is CumbiaLab?
CumbiaLab – The Laboratory for Latin American Pop and Cumbia Music
CumbiaLab is a regularly held event series that functions as a creative laboratory for contemporary Latin American music. Its main focus is to explore and expand the sonic boundaries of cumbia, Latin pop, and urban rhythms.
Musicians from Berlin’s Latin and pop scene come together to chart new musical paths, blending traditional influences with modern sounds and developing innovative musical concepts. The result is a space for encounter, cultural diversity, and musical experimentation – vibrant, danceable, and always surprising.
Each event also invites small gastronomic entrepreneurs from Berlin who offer authentic culinary products from different Latin American countries. In this way, every CumbiaLab becomes a cultural journey through the diversity of Latin America, uniting music, flavor, and community.
All proceeds from the events go toward supporting the educational programs of KulturLab Berlin, fostering creative participation and cultural education for young people.

🎶 Cumbia Lab No. 3 – Calle Mambo Live!

CumbiaLab returns for its third round – hotter, louder, and more danceable than ever! 💃🔥
This time, the now world-renowned Calle Mambo take the stage with their electrifying fusion of traditional Andean sounds, global beats, rap, Latin American energy, and conscious lyrics. Their shows are a firework of rhythm, dance, and collective ecstasy – a must for all lovers of modern Latin sounds.
The Kumbia Ambassadors will once again enrich the night with their signature Cumbia beats, while DJ Batero, a.k.a. Human Technobeat Machine, joins as a surprise act, delivering driving, organic, electronic rhythms for a fresh and unique vibe.
And just when you think it can’t get any hotter – DJ Rokoto takes over the decks, turning Cassiopeia into a pulsating dance floor deep into the night. 🌙
Culinary highlights included: this time, El Chilenito will bring authentic Chilean flavors with delicious Empanadas and the legendary Completos – Chilean hotdogs that fill not just your stomach, but your heart. ❤️
At the bar, you’ll find the perfect themed special: the classic Piscola. 🍸
Cumbia Lab No. 3 is presented by Die Linke and Cassiopeia Berlin.
In a short address, Kerstin Wolter, state chair of Die Linke Berlin, will highlight the importance of participatory youth work and critical thinking in standing up against right-wing extremism and populism.
